Owner, designer and mother of five Sally Hurst started making bags in 2005.

"I was bored with carrying everything around in plastic bags, and the good-looking ones were never sturdy enough," she said.

For 2008, she has released a new design: the Dotty Old Bag. There are also some luscious new colours for the range, including raspberry ripple, bubblegum and chocolate flake.

Sally said: "My aim with The Old Bag Company was always to create funky practical bags with endless uses, and the new dotty range has taken the funky part a little bit further.

"Designed by a woman for a woman, each dotty Old Bag has the hardwearing Old Bag credentials and includes lots of pockets and hiding places for keys, mobile phones, make-up and money.

"It was a lot of fun designing the new dotty bags and the finished range seems to have sent everyone dot-mad!"
