Bra Sizing Guide

Did you know that recent research suggests that more than 2/3 of us girls are wearing the wrong bra size?  Use this handy guide to help find the right bra for you at Goulds Online

Measuring Your Bra Size

1. Your Bra Size (underbust)

Firstly you will need to measure around your body under your bust. The tape should be held quite firmly but should not feel uncomfortable. If the measurement is an even number, then add 4 inches (or 10cm), or in the case of an odd number, then add 5 inches (12.5cm). The resulting number is your band size.

For example:

If you measure and find that you are 30inches (75cm) then you add 4 inches (10cm), so your correct bust size is 34inches (85cm). If you measure and find that you are 31inches (77.5cm) then you add 5 inches so this means you are 36 inches (90cm).

2. Your Cup Size (overbust)

Measure round the fullest part of your bust to determine Cup size. You simply subtract the measurement that you just took from your bra size worked out above. If the bust measurement is:
same as your bra size, your Cup size is A.
1in. more gives Cup size B
2in. more gives Cup size C
3in. more gives Cup size D
4in. more gives Cup size DD
5in. more gives Cup size E
and so on through F, FF and G

For Example:

Underbust measurement of 29in. + 5in. = bra size 34
Overbust measurement of 34in. = Cup A

So the correct fitting would be 34A
